Hamburger

Last night, I dreamed of eating a hamburger. Nothing fancy, just a simple little hamburger. Of course, this morning, I headed to the freezer to get some ground beef. I prepared about 4 or five hamburger patties. I didn't even grill them on the BBQ, just sauted them in a pan with some sliced onions.

For breakfast, I ate one single patty with no fixins. For lunch I toasted some multigrain bread with some of the onions and a few slices of Roqueford cheese. Added some mayonaise and dijon mustard plus the hamburger patty. Simple pleasure.

Don't know why I thought this was so worthy of blogging about other than why was I so obsessed with a hamburger.

Weekend Dog Blogging and Garden Update

It was a very nice and sunny day in Los Angeles once all the fog burned off. I spent most of the morning cleaning my carpet (don't ask why I didn't pay someone to do it). After a very exhausting work out with the carpet cleaning machine, Ziggy and I headed outdoors to relax and do some maintenance on the garden.

Here's Ziggy just relaxing. Weekend dog Blogging sponsored by Sweetnicks.

Happy 2nd Birthday Soul Fusion Kitchen

We are two years old this month.

I was surfing through some of my favorite sites and noticed the April anniversary mentions of other sites when it hit me- Soul Fusion Kitchen also started in April 2005.

No birthday cakes or celebrations but I will toast with a glass of wine.

To another year.

Weekend Dog Blogging

Ziggy has missed so many weeks of WDB because of my very busy schedule. Now that Autry 2007 is past, Easter Dinner is done, taxes have been paid/sent, my son is finally at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park (more on this later) and I have a weekend free to get back to some very important doggie business. He's just chillin' on the couch as he watches the happenings in the back yard.

Weekend Dog blogging sponsored by Sweetnicks. (Have a nice vacation)

Today is a lovely day in L.A. with some needed rain yesterday, but sunny and clear is forecast for the weekend. My garden is also doing well.

I really need to place the wire around the tomatoes. The herbs are also looking good. Zucchini plants will soon take over, while the cucmbers seem to need a little more TLC.
Bell pepper buds are flowering already.

Autry 2007 Update

Though Four Q BBQ team did not place in this very enjoyable BBQ competition, we had a ball. Starting with a television opportunity on Friday morning (April 13th) with the Los Angeles based KTLA Morning show with Gail Anderson and continuing throughout Friday and Saturday with meeting and hanging out with other exceptional BBQ teams and enjoying visits from family and friends.

I have not had the chance to upload my pictures, but I can refer you to BBQ Junkie's Flickr site for some great moments at the Autry. He has also posted the results of the competition on his BBQ Junkie web site.

Meanwhile I am swimming in New York under the Nor'Easter storm influence.

Garden Update - Week 2

The garden is coming along quite well. T finished planting and now we are into maintenance.

I have been missing the Weekend Dog Blogging event hosted by Sweetnicks. My schedule has been pretty exhausting and by the time I sit down to blog it's too late to post. I can't let Zig go without a "shoutout" so- Here's my Ziggy hanging with me in the backyard.
