Hamburger

Last night, I dreamed of eating a hamburger. Nothing fancy, just a simple little hamburger. Of course, this morning, I headed to the freezer to get some ground beef. I prepared about 4 or five hamburger patties. I didn't even grill them on the BBQ, just sauted them in a pan with some sliced onions.

For breakfast, I ate one single patty with no fixins. For lunch I toasted some multigrain bread with some of the onions and a few slices of Roqueford cheese. Added some mayonaise and dijon mustard plus the hamburger patty. Simple pleasure.

Don't know why I thought this was so worthy of blogging about other than why was I so obsessed with a hamburger.

and ya know some days are like that...and yours sounds terrific. Something about beef and roquefort cheese. Tasty!

You know what? I have done that before with hamburgers. One day I think I ate them for every meal. Sometimes you just get a craving.

I could eat sauted onions, I could eat them on an old shoe but your burger looks better.

that's my kinda patty melt right there! sometimes, i get a total craving for red meat, too. i think it could be our bodies telling us we need some iron. though, i don't know what my body is trying to tell me when i want to eat a pint of ben & jerry's! ;)

Landa, I did have another hamburger patty for dinner. Maybe I'm anemic or something. Anyway, I think I'm over it now.

Doodles- the cheese made it unique and was a great substitute for cheddar.

Moon, the sauteed onions always add that extra layer of flavor.

Coincidence MP- I was writing at the same time as you. I agree. Ben and Jerry's- maybe a calcium deficiency.
